KDB Ireland Designated Activity Company(DAC)

Introduction

This subsidiary was established as a financial company with a capital of USD 20 million in June 1997

for the purpose of the introduction of foreign capital and the support of overseas investment for domestic companies.

Since its establishment, the subsidiary has facilitated offshore banking through fronting and booking services by using benefits such as preferential corporate tax rates and an exemption from withholding tax.

The Company is principally involved in providing loans to large Korean based corporations and to non-Korean enterprises. It also manages a Korean bond portfolio. Also KDB Ireland is currently expanding its work scope to include Cross-border deals and Aviation Financing.

As of the end of 2017, the subsidiary has grown to equity of USD 75 million, total assets of USD 374 Million, and paid-in capital of USD 25 Million. Total Number of staff as of February 2018 : 8 (3 home office staff, 5 local staff). Recently we strengthen Cross-border local expertise in an effort to expand our field of business.
